After you shower or bathe, towel dry the area. Gently rub the callused area with a pedicure file or pumice stone for a few seconds. Apply Gramp Lyford's Country salve to the affected area. Repeat daily as needed. Depending on the thickness of the callus you should see results in a few days. I have heard of people even getting rid of corns with this procedure. Of course it took a little longer.
For Cracked Fingers:
Apply a drop of salve on the cracks at bedtime and cover with band aid. Also apply salve to hands 2 to 3 times a day. Usually the painful cracks heal in about 2 to 3 days. To prevent the cracks from recurring apply a small amount to hands 2 to 3 times a day. It is very concentrated so you don't have to use much.
For dry scaly patches on elbows and knees:
Apply the salve twice a day. Most effective if used after shower or bath and before bedtime.
Diabetics suffer from dry cracked feet. Applying the salve once or twice a day will prevent this. It also has the added benefit of making the person examine their feet on a regular basis and notice if there are any unnoticed sores or infections.
